With some time spent coding and tweaking, the online RSVP is now available. We've handed out a couple of invitations. The rest should be in the mail in a couple of days. Please be sure to RSVP by September 1st.

This weekend Sarah and I took the written and confined water portion of Open Water SCUBA diving class. It was a lot of fun and really interesting. It's amazing to breath while at the bottom of a pool; I can't wait to try it in the sea when we go to Thailand.
Both of us have snorkeled before, but it was still a new experience. We learned a lot and are really excited about our honeymoon. This was definitely one of the more fun parts of planning to the wedding, even if it wasn't really for the wedding.
If you've never tried it before, I encourage you to check it out. It wasn't all that difficult and it was something very different than we had done before. Even if you're not going to some far off tropical island, there are places to go nearby, and hopefully if you do go somewhere tropical, you'll be prepared when you go there.
Things are coming together. With the caterer on board and the florist quoted, we're working on our long list of little things. Sarah has a dress fitting on Thursday, we're looking into chairs for the ceremony, gifts for the wedding party, taking a scuba class in preparation for our honeymoon and of course, ordering our invitations.
We went back to Paper Source where we got our Save -the-Dates and got our design figured out. We initially ordered a hundred, but they let us reduce that to 75 after we thought better of it and the sticker shock had settled in. We approved the proof yesterday so we should get them in a week or two. After that we'll need to get to work assembling them.
We'll get them sent out as soon as we can. Our goal is to mail them out so they'll arrive by August 1st. That gives everyone a month to respond. One way that we'll be simplifying the response is by adding an RSVP page to our website, so if that sounds easier than dropping it in the mail then please avail yourselves of it!
