Oh yeah!

Yesterday was our big day, and we're so happy that so many of our friends and family made it to celebrate the occasion with us. Thanks to all of you! We are so pleased with how everything worked out, including the weather, the food, the music, and we hope that everyone had a wonderful time. If you didn't get a program and would like one, let us know. We're all out of the truffles though!

Tomorrow we're hopping on a plane to Thailand, and we're getting packed and ready now. The car will pick us up at 9:00 am and we will be gone until Saturday, October 10th.

Thank you again to everyone for the thoughtful compliments and the generous gifts. We'll get to work on writing our thank you notes and adding pictures to the website as soon as we get back. For now, we're planning to relax and enjoy the tropics.

Getting There

The directions to the ceremony in the invitations say to exit I-94 at Crisman Road. While this is technically correct, the exit is not labeled Crisman Road. It is Exit 19, labeled Indiana 249, "Port of Indiana", and "Portage". We don't want anyone to get lost, so please pass the word along to anyone else you know that is coming, especially if they are not familiar with the area! We'll send an email as well to make sure that everyone knows.

Elevenish days to go. We have worked on our vows and ceremony structure, finalized the head count, and paid all of our vendors. The last portion is to print the programs and place card names, finish up the gifts for the bridal party, figure out what to put on the kids game table, and submit our music to the DJ.
There has been some bumps in the road with frustration and sadness creeping in due to unforeseen circumstances. But, I have tried to soldier on with the intent to remain positive and cheerful even when I have had to wish a few people luck in our parting and wanted to strangle certain vendors. To say that this process has been easy is laughable. Though, perhaps it really would have been easier if I wasn't working full time and attending school part time all at the same time. Such is life!

Counting Down

The day is fast approaching. Sarah and I spent Labor Day weekend camping at Kettle Morraine in Wisconsin. We're now working on the final preparations for the wedding. RSVP's are in and we're finalizing the numbers with the caterer, the hall, the cake, the chairs, and the florist. Next weekend are our respective bachelor and bachelorette parties, and after that it's only two more weeks until the big day.

If you haven't reserved a hotel yet, the reserved block has been released, so hurry up and get a room before they're gone! We're looking forward to seeing you all soon!
